MIST 420 Complex Adaptive Systems

Students will explore the organic nature of organizations as an intelligent, complex, and adaptive system (ICAS). This course will introduce students to ICAS concepts emphasizing inter-disciplinary research spanning agent networking theory, social behavioral theory, cognition theory, organizational design theory, and management theory. Students will identify deconstruction techniques to simplify the complex and dynamic relationships between organizational design and information systems design that shape unique forces emergent within the ICAS organization.
