MTMH 419 Immunohematology: Didactic

This course is a study of the of the theoretical and technical aspects of human blood groups and their clinical significance. Techniques used for detection and identification of antibodies, compatibility testing, current transfusion practices, and component transfusion. The course also covers hemolytic disease of the newborn, complex transfusion service problem-solving, as well as donor screening, donor blood collection, and processing, and storage of blood components.




Enrolled as a medical laboratory science major, senior status, meet all degree requirements other than those courses that are a portion of the professional-year program
