NURS 299 Foundations of Nursing Practice

This lecture/lab course introduces the student to the nursing process and addresses primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention. Students learn to conduct comprehensive and focused physical, behavioral, psychological, spiritual, socioeconomic, and environmental assessments of health and illness, utilizing developmentally and culturally appropriate approaches. Basic psychomotor skills for the delivery of efficient, safe, and compassionate care are introduced and utilized with patients.
